When Home Depot offers zero percent interest on appliances over $399 for twelve months, they do not tell you that the promotion really ends after six months and they hit you with 22 percent interest back to the beginning on any unpaid balance. In my case that would be half of the purchase price, because I had paid off the first half in the first six months.
When I called them, they said I needed to call before the six months were up to extend the zero interest promotion that really was twelve months when I bought the refrigerator. Why would I call to extend a promotion that does not end for six more months, to extend it for another six months?
They are ripoffs, and people should be careful because they are offering this promotion again this year. Anyone who does business with them again should have their head examined. I canceled my account when they told me there was nothing they could do.
