I contracted MoMax Builders, Northbrook, IL to remodel my attic and back porch area. The first sign of trouble was when an unmarked blue van pulled up on the day work was to begin. I was given NO required insurance certificate nor any permit to apply to my front window, yet out poured 5 shabbily dressed foreigners to commence work on my home. I could not communicate with them because none of them spoke english. The "foreman, " who I was told would be there every day, all day, NEVER showed up except when it came time to pay the bill.
The work was sloppy and performed shoddily. When I complained, NOBODY returned my calls. I refused to pay the full amount and was met with no resestance, further testament that this company is a supreme rip-off and should be avoided at all costs.
I advise you to choose a professional vendor. Not some fly-by-night company who sub's out the jobs that they do not know how to do.
When the roof leaked after the first rain, I called and again, my call was not returned. This is a lame company which should consider itself very lucky they have not been sued multiple times.
LOOK ELSEWHERE for professional work. Avoid this cheating company who will do nothing to please the customer.
