I bought a bissell rug scrubber a few years back. It was an awesome cleaner. It had great suction and scrubbing abililties. With in 3 months I was shipping it back to bissell for a loud non belt related noise. About a month later it was returned to me. The shipping invoice inside said it got a new motor. Ok. I was happy to have it back. I used it twice. It started making this noise like you were shaking rocks in a cup. Again it goes back. A month later it comes back again saying it got a new motor.

OK... A few more months go by. I used it a few times mostly for spill clean ups. The scrubber is now about 15 months old. It again starts making these awful noises. I call Bissell. They tell me my warranty is up. I told them that I just got the machine back from the shop a few months ago from another warranty issue and that they needed to cover this. I then spoke with a manager and Told him I would appreciate being sent a new scrubber. That this one had been repaired in their shop several times and it was a lemon. He sent me a shipping tag and again it goes back. About 6 weeks go by and it returns again. It was still my old scrubber. The packing slip said it got new belts, which I had already changed, and a few other things.

I take it out and try it immediately. It has no suction. I call again and get a run around. Finally I get another shipping label. I packed it up again and sent it back along with a copy of a letter I had written to Bissels main office requesting a new scrubber and explaining the runaround that I had been getting. I had also told them how much I liked the performance of it when it did work.

Two months later the scrubber returns again. Packing slip states it got a new motor, hoses, and a few other odds and ends. Again I try it out immediately. It worked on about a 6 X 6 section of carpet and started smoking. I call again. Get the huge run around. Finally get a shipping label. I again write to the Main office and include a copy in the box. This time I packed it up in my New Hoover's box and sent it back. A month later the scrubber is back. I open it see that it is still my scrubber Took it to the closest dumpster and threw it in. I have been using my Hoover problem free for a long time now. I will never go back to Bissell.
