So my fiance hired michael orand to fix 3 shingles on our roof. She hired him before we knew anything about him, and being new to the area we hadnt heard about him. He quoted us a price of 75 dollars. We wernt at the house when he was doing the work and was there between the hours of 12:00cst and 13:00cst. I had some medication delievered from the v.A. To my house and was confirmed delievered at 12:43cst by the carrier. Michael orand had placed the invoice inside our mailbox. And was seen by our neighbor inside of our mailbox, which he had no business being in. I got home and discovered my medication was not inside the mailbox and had to file a police report. It doesnt take a genius to figure out that 2 plus 2 equals 4. But when i met up with him to pay him the bill he had additional charges. It went from 75 dollars to 125 dollars. Because he said he had fixed some other things on the roof that in his opinion needed fixing. We did not ask him to do that work, and our insurance company that examined our roof and had us fix the shingles said there was no other work to be done on the roof. So he did unauthorized additional work to our house without our permission and then charged us extra for it. And when doing investigations on mr. Orand i found out the license number he lists on his invoice is a fake and isnt licensed or insured in the state of tennessee.
Now back to the missing medications. It was a bottle of prescribed narcotics estimated value of 500 dollars. And i need them for my back from injuries sustained in combat 2 years ago. So when they went missing i had to file a police report for the v.A. Because thats alot of vicodin to go missing. When he discovered i listed him in the report he began to call me and my fiances phones restricted threatening and harrassing us. I have contacted the police several times on this matter as i work all the time and he obviously knows our address. I have also reported him to the tennessee department of commerce for operating under fake license numbers and also the unauthorized work to the house. He is a scammer and seems very unpredictable. Do not let this person near you, your family or your house. This is the worst mistake we have made as home owners letting this person do work for us.
