Frigidare's shelf design using thin plastic was a big mistake. It costs me about $80 each year to replace them and I am gentle with them. Everybody makes mistakes. Fixing your mistakes—offering customers an improved shelf—builds customer loyalty. Ignoring problems such as this destroys the reputation of any business. Within five years I will have paid $400 in replacement parts—the same as the cost of a new unit. For that reason I will never buy Frigidare again. I strongly urge others to avoid Frigidare purchases. I also urge Home Depot and Lowes to throughly evaluate Frigidare and Electrolux products before stocking them.
