TV FAILED - Samsung Television LNT4061FX/XAA

After buying many Samsung products I decided to buy one of their TV sets. I bought a 40” LCD 1080P TV from Circuit City about two years ago. The cost was about $1500. The TV was brought home, mounted on the wall and has not been moved or touched since. About a month ago the TV started having problems turning on; it would cycle power on and off several times before it final came on. As time has passed this problem has gotten worse and it takes longer and longer to turn on. Keep in mind that this is my secondary TV and has about 700 hours of use. I called Samsung last night and asked them to fix it because it seems to be a reoccurring issue with their TVs’-This is according to research I have done on several consumer sites - The informed me that my TV was out of warranty, however it might be covered they would have to check the manufactures date. My TV was manufactured in 07/07 and they were only covering TVs made from 10/07 to 01/08. So I was out of lucky even though this was a common problem with many of their sets. I now have three Samsung TVs and several other components that I have to worry about failing in a short period of time. I believe the Samsung should stand by their product, this TV is only two years old and has minimum viewing time one it. It is a shame that they would put out such subpar electronics with their name on them. I hope this helps anyone who reads this, don’t take my word for it. Research it online and you will be amazed with the amount of complaints having to do with the same issue. Here are the specs of the TV Model#LNT4061FX/XXA Serial#AHBA3CSP700158V Version#SS03
