I am writing this letter to inform you about my disappointment in the Samsung television set that I purchased on October 7. I am referring specifically to:

Model number: lnt4061fx/xaa

Serial number: ahba3csp901066p

My television takes a very long time to turn on. At first, the delay was less than a minute but now it takes 20 to 30 minutes for the set to turn on. The set has progressively gotten worse as time has passed. I searched the internet to check on the problems associated with my set and discovered many reports posted by customers having similar problems. I decided to contact the Samsung Customer Service Department.

May 28 I called the customer service number and talked to a representative and was told that my television set was having problems and that the set was in the coverage period for repair. I was told that I would be contacted by a supervisor. I never received a call.

May 1 Since my call was never returned I called the customer service number again. The representative said they were unable to find any information regarding my earlier call. I again reviewed my problem and this time the representative told me that my set was not included in the problem period. I went on the internet and saw report after report from people with my MODEL NUMBER who were having the same problem. I was referred to a supervisor. She was going to send in a report requesting an extension and I was told that I would be sent an email and that should I check back and that I should use my TICKET NUMBER: 4006584004.

May 3 I did not hear from anyone regarding my concern, so I again contacted the customer service department. Again I reviewed my concern to the representative and I was told that my television was outside of the coverage period and there was noting that I could do. I asked to talk to a supervisor. The representative took my name and number and said that a supervisor would call me. A supervisor never called me.

May 5 I called customer “noservice” to see if my repair had been approved. There was nothing in the records stating that my television had been approved for repair.

May 10 I called the
customer “noservice” department again and reviewed my calls with the representatives. This representative stated that it seemed like I had gotten the run around and that he would check on my case. I was referred to the EExecutive Supervisor of Customer Service. This person told me essentially that there was nothing that Samsung would do.

It is clear to me that your company is NOT going to repair my television and my disappointment comes from the fact that I thought I was buying a television from a reputable company that would stand behind their products. This is not the case. So what I plan to do is write this letter to you and post my own complaints about the company, service and the products on the internet or with anyone who is willing to take my complaint. My hope at this point is that I will be able to help a future consumer make a wiser decision that I did when it comes to purchasing a Samsung product. And, I will NEVER purchase another product with the SAMSUNG brand.
