UPS will pay almost any claim under $100 in house. Problem is~ they use an underwriter called "The Crawford Company" to process claims over $100 & that company always~ always denies every claim. One lie after another & conflicting storied between you & your customer.
Insufficient packaging 1st (I have been packing for 10 years) then the perpetual "we will call you back" promises. Then they will even try the old "you did not buy insurance" ploy even when they have proof you did.in short~ The Crawford Company is denying any and all UPS claims & giving that company a black eye in the industry! Not to mention committing insurance fraud and bad faith.
They are hoping you will eventually give up and go away without screaming too many times at UPS corporate!
I mean~ who has 40 hours of their life to continue the fight right?
I say we all do & my wife owns a law firm & I would love to "shake up the Crawford Company" in a court of law.
Would be just as happy if UPS grew a brain & contracted through a legit insurance company BUT~ if not~ I will be forced to kick the brown to the curb & encourage all other shippers to do the same!
Anybody with me?"Yes We Can"!!
