Abode Air in Tempe, AZ - A $39.99 Special that was solicited over the phone turned into a $7000.00 nightmare!
Air conditioner was working just fine until the tech showed up, went up into the attic, recommended to replace a couple of parts that would make the unit run just like a "Brand New Unit."
$1700 later (parts and a $1153 10 year warranty), within 3 hours from when the tech left, realized that the air conditioner had not gone off at all and that the temperature was rising INSIDE the house.
We did NOT have this problem before the guy arrived and spent 3 hours figuring out a way to make the system leak or damage the lines somehow so we would replace it through them.
We had to buy a brand new air conditioner to replace the one we had because we had no air for 3 weeks in the month of August.
Tech advised that parts were replaced in the outside unit, however, what he did not know is that I opened it up after he left and the parts that were inside were the original parts, still had spiderwebs on them! We were charged for parts that were not replaced in addition to damaging the entire unit.
These people run a criminal operation... Thieves!
