I hired Mike Lafleur of Classic Renovations to help complete my home remodel and it was a total disaster. Mike is a classic example of someone who is nice to your face, but beneath the surface is a conniving snake. Mike will probably come into your home and talk more than he should, give you the best price, and then tell you when he will start the job. He will show up a couple of hours late, but it's ok because at least when you call to find out where he is he answers to tell you he is on his way. Be prepared for this every day...
Some of the simple jobs that Mike promised would take only a day or a few days ended up taking weeks and the quality was terrible. Although I do enjoy cutting his paint drips out of my carpet like bubble gum in hair. Do not be fooled by his talking or his prices, he is an immoral person and an even worse contractor.
Don't take my advice if you don't want to, but trust me if you hire him, you'll wish you could go back and pay another contractor to do it right the first time.
