Do not do business with David Muskat, or with any kitchen design company he might use as an alter ego. These entities would include ME Corporation, Divolo, and Kitchen Expo. I entered into an agreement with him to re-design one kitchen, and to design a new kitchen for a residence at another location, with cabinets to be purchased from and installed by him. The incompetency of his staff resulted in a broad sweep of errors in the redesign: late arrival from the promised dates; incorrect exterior finishes; incorrect depth of cabinets; incorrect cutouts for labeled appliances, and missing pieces and trims. Two additional attempts resulted in some corrections, but at that point Mr. Muskat declined to complete the job, stating that he just would not do any more. Meanwhile, the new kitchen cabinets, for which a $20,000 deposit had been paid, were sold by Mr. Muskat to another party. He refused to give a refund, stating that he took on a new identity and had no obligation whatsoever (no bankruptcy or dissolution notification was ever made). He submitted that in any case, his company had no money to pay me with.
