My mother recently was told by a doctor that unless she got out of these apartments, she would die. The mold problem is so bad it is effecting her breathing. This is what it took to get this complex let her our of a lease that expires in August anyway. They have known about this problem for years, but it takes an 83 yr old womans doctor telling her she is gonna die before they make an effort to do anything. They offered her another apartment, granted, but the majority of them have mold visible. One apartment is so bad that everytime it rains, it is flooded. The carpet is always wet. What will it take to get some action done on this property. The ignore until someone gets severly ill seems to be there way of thinking.
Some might not understand this, but unless you have lived there, you wouldnt. No one has halos, or wings, but all do have the right to live. Mold is a health issue, one they have known existed for sometime now. But have failed to do anything about it.
Just beware, children and older people can become severely ill, so watch closely, one of your relatives could end up there or someplace like it.
