We choose to outfit our 5000 Sq ft. Renovated historic home with all Bosch Appliances, purchasing them from Bonnycastle Appliance in Louisville, KY. A short 3 years later, our very expensive Bosch dishwasher stopped draining at the end of the wash cycle. Even though Bosch warranty covers electronics-related parts failures up to 5 years, it does not include troubleshooting or any labor! Bonnycastle refused to come out to check the issue without us incurring a travel and troubleshooting fee. We had better service from a Korean brand LG front load washing machine we bought from Circuit City 5 years ago, even thoguh we were dealing with a custoemr call center half way around the world. The person we talked with at Bonnycastle was not interested in doing any over-the-phone troubleshooting.
If you are considering paying more for the supposed quality of product or service from either Bosch Products or Bonnycastle, save yourself time and trouble and just go buy the top of the line run-of-the-mill mass-produced stuff from one of the warehouse stores. All of the warranties are now 12 month parts only, and apparently all brands are designed to ensure a repair revenue stream throughout the products limited life. We will never buy another Bosch Product (we spent over $6000 for a Bosch Washer, Dryer, Stove and Convection Oven combo, Dishwasher, and Microwave Unit) and whatever we purchase will not be from Bonnycastle Appliance. Their only remaining value-add has been proven to us to be non-existent.
