Bosch dishwasher model number SHV46C13UC
An Authorized Service Contractor would replace part #676967 under warranty, but found that they were unable to get the part in starting on 2/25.
Finally on 3/9 I called Bosch myself and spoke with the parts department. Part is backordered at least under the end of March; was told "there is nothing we can do, it's a vendor issue".
This is not acceptable. I strongly suspect that this part is not available because it is faulty (see other Bosch complaints) and that at a minimum Bosch should replace it promptly without a service charge. It is bad enough that the warranty does not extend to the labor charges (which are required; the manual states "Any work performed by unauthorized personnel may void the warranty"). It is worse that the part is not even available for replacement for an unspecified period.
