We received a Kidco G20 safety gate for Christmas 2008. Within 6 months one of the vertical posts separated from the top bar. After about 4 rounds of emails, each demanding another picture or number, they then told us that the gate was 7 years old and there was no way a store could or would keep that inventory for so long. Since we did not get a receipt from the gift giver, and they can not find it now, they refused to replace the gate.
To make matters worse, the last time i had to remove the gate from the wall to get yet another number from the bottom, i cut my finger on the sharp edges of the broken piece and ended up with several stiches. There response?"Oh well".
I would seriously recommend staying away from any of their metal products since they are shoddy construction at best.
