Sleepy's
Lies and does not honor warranty

I purchased a mattress less than one year ago and the mattress now sags a bit. Knowing I am under a 10 year warranty (or at least I thought) I called the customer service line on May 30th and spoke to a representative about my problem (after being on hold 30 minutes). The woman seemed nice and said that an inspector will come check out the mattress provided I have 5 wooden supports and a fifth leg.

I had the supports but told her no fifth leg, she said it wasn't a problem as long as I purchased one within 2 weeks and called back and it would be no problem to have an inspector come to my house. One day later, on May 31 I went out and purchased a fifth leg for my bed and called customer service back to state I have the fifth leg and request an inspector come.

Again, after being on hold 30 min a woman answered, her name was Tarika (refused to give last name, also said she was the supervisor and wouldnt allow me to speak to anyone superior) and she said my warranty had been voided because I lacked the fifth leg. I told her about the customer rep the previous day who said that I could simply purchase the leg and call back and it would be okay and she said "I can't speak on behalf of who you spoke with yesterday and I cannot tell you her name, but your warranty is still voided"

I asked why the woman yesterday did not tell me that and Tarika said that she was a new employee and misunderstood your question, which is completely inaccurate because I confirmed with the woman multiple times that I was still under warranty and an inspector would come. After complaining back and forth with her for 20 minutes she continued giving me the run around until basically hanging up on me.

I called again after on hold for the same amount of time and spoke to a woman by the name of Lynette, she was just as rude as Tarika and gave me the same BS. Sleepy's is one huge scam and I recommend NO ONE purchase a mattress from them. Spend the extra few dollars and purchase from a company who will live up to their promises and stand behind their warranty.
