I recently got hoodoo-ed into signing up for stamps.com. I was looking for a site to print a single stamp, after inputing my banking information for a free promotional trial, I still was unable to print the stamp without the appropriate paper. I just noticed this month on my bank statement that stamps.com has been charging me 19.99 a month for an account I didn't set up. When I called to cancel the "account" and get my money back, I spoke with a woman named Ashley who claimed to be the "top of the ladder" as far as supervisors I could speak with. I have not once signed into any account or utilized the stamps.com services, yet they refuse to refund me the money that they took from me. They repeatedly used the term "valid charge" and said that I "didn't read the small print". I asked to speak with Ashley's supervisor and she hung up on me. They gave me some email address to submit my inquiry, but assured me I will never see my money again.
I think this company is a rip off and they are not consumer-friendly. I am looking for more venues to let people know what kind of company this is... Please pass along to any of your friends and family... The drive to the post office requires less tylenol and money than dealing with stamps.com!!!
