Change is Good Tree Service was placing "Free Estimate" flyers on our street. I was outside when he came to my mailbox and I stopped him and asked him for an estimate. His price was good and I made arrangements for him to stop back and trim two trees. I paid him $100 to trim and haul away tree debris.
When he came back to trim the trees I was on my way out, so I paid him the $100 and left, trusting he would do the work we discussed. I also own my own business and I take pride in my work and treating my clients with respect. I gave him the benefit of being the same type of business owner.
When I returned, he had not trimmed on twig on either trees. I have called him at least 12 times. A few times he answered and when I questioned him about the trees, he stated his truck was full and he had to come back when he had room for my debris, or he was going out of town and would call when he got back. I gave him several chances to do the job and each time he stated he would be out, he never showed up. He stole my money, knowing he was doing so when he did it. He lied about coming to do the work, it is now obvious he had no intentions of doing anything after he received the money. He is obviously scam artist.
I am filing a report with our local police department, the BBB and Craigs List and contacting my attorney. I would strongly advise you NOT to do business with this scam artist.
