Purchased a Amana Side by side refrigerator on or about july of 1998. This unit works fine but about six/eight months ago I noticed that there were stains on the door and wiped them off with soap and water. About every three wees or so I have to rewipe the stains. These stains come through the finish on the door, and when wiped they go away.
Also noticed that on the right side of the refrigerator was rust rings all the way up the side. The rings are small now but will get larger in time. I called Amena today (02/18/03) and spoke with a lady (?) who felt that
sence the garrentee was over that Amana was not responsible for the problem.
The cost to replace the door and the outside of
the refrigerator is to much for me. So the thing to do is replace it with another one.
I can promice that it will not be a Amana and all my friends and social club (s) members will be told
of this poor workmanship of Amana.
