I made the mistake of checking Patrick Mansfield's reference from 3 years ago. Apparently that was the last time he did a job on time. On Feb 10 he said we could have our pool finished in 6 weeks barring any weather delays. Seems fast enough, it is a fiberglass pool and a fiberglass spa installed in our backyard. It is now Nov 10
The excavation went pretty fast with the help of his son, and the pool/spa were delivered 2 weeks after that. That's when work slowed to a crippled snails pace.
He hired two inexperienced workers to help him. He had told me he had 6 men on his crew. Big lie!
They only show up a couple time a week for 3 to 5 hours a day and get very little done because Patrick had to show them how to do everything.
Here is the best part... After not seeing them for 2 weeks in July, I am having breakfast and see out back one of the helpers sawing the connections for my auto fill! He tells me that they broke one at a job that they were pouring concrete for this morning and Patrick told him to come get mine! I had already paid for it. Patrick is always quick to bill you for anything added to the pool. Promised to replace on Monday.
Two weeks to replace it.
He will never return phone calls. (blames it on his cell phone provider)
Never shows up when he promises.
Never works more than 4 hours at a time.
Took a load of fill dirt from my property without my permission.
Always some family problem or emergency to blame on not showing up... He is running out of relatives to blame.
He is basically a nice guy and a great salesman, that's the hook!
His contract is front loaded with payments so if you fire him you are out a ton of money and have to sue to recover.
DO NOT get involved with him.
