So in looking for a cheap couch, I now have no couch.
They said all I need to do is put down a downpayment and my couch would be there in about a week. I do not believe there was EVER an intention of my couch showing up in a week - as after 10 days, my downpayment becomes a store credit (this is not something they TOLD me, of course, but it is in the fine print. They told me i could just get my money back)? Instead of them offering to call when my couch came in, they told me to keep calling their store. That's a big tipoff that they never planned on my couch to come in, in the 1st place.
So it's been 2 months and I still don't have a couch. Each time I call, they tell me if I pay off the couch in full, they KNOW they could get the couch to the store. Why would I give them more money after waiting for two months?
I am highly suspicious of any positive comments in regards to American Freight and would not be surprised if they were planted here by their employees.
This place is NOT accredited by the BBB. The BBB has sent questions to American Freight and they have not responded.
I HIGHLY suggest to look elsewhere for any furniture. I have no doubt there is litigation ongoing w / this deceptive store and their practices, and look forward to finding information on any class action lawsuits pointed in their direction.
