I also tried to cancel my contract with Majic Windows and I was told if I did not go through with it, They would sue me. So I went with the more expensive window company because they were supposed to be better windows. That is a joke. I have had nothing but trouble with these windows.
They were installed in 2001 and they have always been drafty and hard to open and close because they
always go off track. I have had them out several times for a service call to find out why they are so drafty that I have to put plastic on the windows every winter
to keep the cold winter air out. I was told by the service technician that they are supposed to be drafty. Funny, I was told at the initial sales presentation that because these are double paned they would keep out all the cold air.
Fast forward to May. Side window fell out and crashed to the floor when the button on the top of the window cracked in half. It took them over 90 days to replace that window and the whole picture window because they don't make those windows anymore, first time I heard about that. The bedroom windows can not be opened or closed because they don't have the parts to fix them.
This problem has been going on since May and still not resolved. I was told because they are 7 years old and they are not going to replace any more windows, even though they come with a 50 year guarantee. I was told the last time I talked to them that they sued the window company that made my windows because they are defective. So why not make things right and replace all of these horrible windows.
