I purchased a Kitchen Aid Microwave/Oven combo and have been replacing the door hinges every other year. The product is less than eight years old and I recently replaced the fourth set of hinges. The spring inside the hinge looses it's tension withing two years causing the oven door to become loose and not close properly. First time replacement was by a certified service repairman after using 1 1/2 years. I decieded that $250 to replace the hinges and killing 1/2 day was a little expensive. Price of one pair of hinges $55 plus tax and shipping.
Kitchen Aid claims they have no problem with this product and refuses to acknowledge any falt with the hinges.
