I ordered an LED light bulb from them on eBay several months ago, they have a policy for defective products but it is a very short time period (1 month I believe) and you have to pay to send the defective LED light bulb back. I didn't think this would happen more than once though. This LED light bulb cost around $40 I believe.
It failed quickly (1/4 of the LEDs failed to emit any light). I sent this light back at a shipping cost of around $6. I received the replacement light bulb and it failed even more quickly than the first one. The pattern of failure was identical, leading me to suspect that they just tried to repair the one I sent back.
I tried to explain to them that I shouldn't have to keep sending these back at my own expense, one replacement I could understand but not over and over. They suggested I have it replaced with a "more reliable" LED bulb, of course at higher cost, and I would pay the difference. I replied that the LED bulb I bought in the first place should have been reliable or else why are they selling it?
There was no furhter response to my complaints. Maybe if they had offered to send the more reliable LED bulb at no additional cost then I might have been satisfied. Making the customer pay to return a defective product is objectionable in the first place, but that part I knew up front, having it fail repeatedly and still expecting the customer to pay the shipping on each return is unacceptable, any business that cares about their customers will address such a situation satisfactorily, these guys just blew me off.
