I had the house built to my specs and the builder used a Shaw distributor to install the carpeting for which I paid big bucks as an upgrade. As the months passed and I kept noticing that no matter how many times I vacuumed per week, I was filling my bagless with carpet fibers. I gave it some time and well two years later, I reported this to the installer and Shaw subsequently sent over a bias-so called carpet detective to investigate my claim as I was experiencing what was later deemed "Corn Rowing". This bias inspector put the blame on the fact that I failed to get the carpet professionally cleaned and that I was using an aggressive vacuum, this produced the deficiency in the carpet according to the investigator and Shaw. Shaw of course chose to close the case without any further inquiry stating that this "Corn rowing" was not a factory defect. It's unfortunate that you find out after the fact that although warranted, that this company does not cover the truely delapidated, cheap characteristics of their product. I'm out big money and can't afford to wage war against an adversary that is clear across the country. The word needs to get out on this company's estremely poor quality carpet, actual lack of commitment to customer satisfation and it's incapability to back up it's product (s).
