I bought my Hot tub for over $12,000 almost 2 years ago. It came 6 weeks later than promised and it was downhill since. I wrote several emails, called and had rude responses and empty promises. Do not buy any of their products, they do not stand behind them. The quality is pitiful. You are better off buying a hot tub from Home Depot.
Here is a letter I repeatedly sent them with NO response on their part!
Dear Vita Spa,
After many months of research on hot tubs I purchased your Vita Spa Rendezvous.
It seemed like the perfect hot tub with everything my family wanted and more...
After the wonderful excitement of our purchase, it all went downhill...
The promised delivery was put off by at least 6 weeks.
Someone else got my tub, then you sent the wrong tub.
I guess the rush in filling my order may have been the reason for the poor workmanship and defects...
Either way, before the tub was even 6 months old, I had a list of problems that have not been fixed, and even worse, the list keeps growing.
Here is what I am up to as of today 7/23, and the tub isn't even a year old.
1. It was sent with missing screws from the outside shell.
2. The control pads rapidly filled with black mold.
3. The LED lights leaked rust down the inside walls of the tub and need frequent cleaning.
4. The plastic filtering flap was attached with a non rust screw on one side and a rusting screw that broke off on the other side leaving a big hole. The flap is being held in place by one screw and water pressure (kind of like a wing and a prayer).
5. One cover clip snapped in the wind and two were pulled out by the wind. I use bungee cords to hold the lid on.
6. A jet control blew off twice and almost injured my neighbor. (potential lawsuit)
7. The 4 foot jets around the outside of the volcanoes no longer work.
8. The center seam of the cover is separating.
9. An outside panel cracked and broke where the cover lifter is attached.
All in all, I would say that you sent me a real lemon!
When I first received the hot tub my friends and neighbors thought it was beautiful and a good deal, now I'm the butt of their jokes knowing how much I paid for it and watching the defect list get longer.
I am seriously concerned about allowing anyone to use my hot tub and contemplating acquiring an injury waiver prior to them entering.
Today I am asking nicely that you resolve my issues STAT.
