Nationwide Relocation
Rip off Artists Ft Lauderdale

Hind sight... I wish we would have read all the negative reports prior to booking this company. We contacted them after they emailed us concerning our move. Our moving coordinator (Morris) acted very friendly on the phone, presented us with a reasonable price, and assured us that our furniture would be delivered on time. We explained to him that we would be out west for 10 days only, and he swore our furniture would arrive during our stay. Like everyone else we signed the papers and was charged a large deposit.

When we contacted the moving company to go over our inventory, we were told the movers would probably not be able to get our furniture to us on time. We told the lady we were told they would, and that was the only reason we said yes to dealing with Nationwide.

We made many calls to Morris who was rarely available. He did not respond to our emails other than the ones for signing the contract. Finally we reached him and he admitted that anything could go wrong so the moving company needed more time. We were pissed off to say the least. He said if we were not available to collect our furniture when the movers arrived, they would store it at our expense. Luckily Morris wasn't in driving distance of us or there would have been a very sorry coordinator.

The moving day came after several phone calls and the movers who were supposed to be there that morning called at 8 pm to say they were near by. I took of work which was a wasted day. We live in a complex and the movers called saying the truck could not make it to our street. My husband went to meet them and assured them they could make the 2 turns, but they refused.

We were then told we needed $450 for them to rent a "shuttle" truck to get our furniture to take back to the bigger truck. We called customer service and they said the same thing. We tried to explain that the barely speaking English movers didn't even try to get to us. Totally frustrated, we called customer service and was told we could put the move on hold. We were not about to give these guys $450 cash.

This company has a big racket going on and the Better Business Bureau doesn't seem to feel they are that bad. We can only imagine how much money this company has gotten through their lies and deception. Morris lead us to believe that Nationwide was the moving company, and that they could pickup and deliver our furniture in two weeks. They rushed us into signing the contract, and never explained what our rights were, or their cancellation policy, but were quick to tell us we had forfeited our deposit.

It would be nice if an attorney contacted everyone who has been swendled and files a class action suit against this company. I tried to get the name of the president and customer service would not me his name
