I don't know if they changed management over the years or what! Our neighbors were using them and recommended them to us so we called them. They gave us an estimate and then came out and applied their fertilizer and weed products. We were pleased and we used them for many applications per year for several years.
Then out of the blue about our bill overnight went from over $60 per application to over $150!!! This wasn't gradual, but BOOM! They almost tripled our per application price saying that they had made some kind of mistake (must of with our neighbors too but they had already quit using them). So my husband said that they could only come out twice a year instead of 6 times and they said that they would not come for just that so we found someone else. Keep in mind, they were in the neighborhood area. We live on a golf course and our home was the finest example of their work and I sent numerous people to them over the years! So in the last 2-1/2 to 3 years, they keep calling us (phone solicitors) and wanting us to come out. Well, they finally talked us into it early this Spring to spray for dandelions. They told us when they would come, then they stood us up!!! We had to call them! They rescheduled and again stood us up again! Now one month goes by before we can get them out there and our yard is out of control! Our yard is ALL dandelions! We've never had this problem before and they are multiplying and multiplying. Finally after one month of being stood up, the guy comes out applies the weed killer. We are given a bill and we paid it, (big mistake) $152.00! You can see the wilting dandelions leaning over after a full day but you can also see areas that look like canola fields in full bloom where nothing had been applied. I called and was friendly to tell them of the missed areas and ask when they were coming back to finish the job. They weren't unless we paid them again!!! The guy on the phone tried to tell me that it took 10 days before we would see them go. I'm a Master Gardener, this is what I do. I help diagnose and do volunteer work helping people with their lawns and gardens. I know where it was not applied and tried to tell them that. Still they said it would cost me another service call!!! They refused to come out because we weren't on their 4-6 times per year service calls to undo what they did. Because of them, our dandelions had a full month to flourish because we were stood up TWICE and then the guy misses 1/4 to 1/3 of our yard. I'm going to take this to the local (both Idaho Falls and Pocatello) Better Business Bureau. I got so mad trying to talk with these people that kept putting me on hold to "talk to my supervisor" and then coming back on the phone and saying,
"Sorry, we can't do anything!" We want our $152 back or our dandelions gone!
This company also upsells everything. You need your spiders gone, you need your trees sprayed, you need all these other little service calls besides just fertilizer and weed control! I'm very upset!
Is that so much to ask? Our home was on tour and our yard (I'm a Master Gardener) we brought them so much business and this is how we were treated after several years! We want our money back or our dandelions gone! Their customer service is horrible and tripling our bill overnight after all the business we brought them is horrible. I will take this to the Better Business Bureau so they will have my complaint on file for life!
