Quality Solutions aka Health-Mor aka Filter Queen placed an ad in our local newspaper looking for approximately 9-10 individuals. The rate of pay was advertised at $11.00 per hour.
After filling out a simple application and brief interview, I was hired that same day. I was informed that training would be required and there was no further mention of wages at that time. The "trainer" advised us we would be going out on calls to do a "demonstration" of their product. He also told us the office will be setting up the calls for us and the applicants have all been pre-approved and screened. The trainer also reassured us that the applicants knew what the demonstrations consisted of and the amount of time that was required to do the demonstration.
After the first day of training, I was questioned in-depth about my family members or if I knew any "home owners" that I could promote their product to. The "trainer" even called me at home that evening asking me how many people I have on my list. The trainer was very "pushy" about me setting up as many "demonstrations" as possible.
After two days of training, we where asked to sign documentation which explained how we where to be paid. While reading the documentation, I among several others in the group, discovered we where not being paid for our training nor would we be making $11.00 per hour. Our pay was based on the number of "demonstrations" we did in a seven day period.
To further the misrepresentation, if we did not do a minimum of 10 demonstrations we would not receive any pay at all.
Upon further investigation of the way this company works, I quit! I would like to encourage others to stay away from their false promises.
