After all the sweat and tears of our home being abandoned and left at 60% complete (which finally triggered the lawsuit) we obtained a second loan to finish the remaining 40% of our home ourselves and it turned out beautifully. It was a lot of work and sacrifice to create a true custom home from all the loose ends that were left. After we were able to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy we of course moved in as quickly as possible and then obtained a third loan for an additional $50,000 and made some wonderful improvements on the yard, retaining wall, walkway, landscaping, stone work, other finishes, etc. We learned the hard way that if you want something done right you sometimes just have to do it yourself. After the hardwork I can truly say that it is one of the nicer homes in the Franklin, NC area.
