Samantha,

I'm still extremely unhappy that Stacy Tiano initially called me numerous times and persuaded me to sell my timeshare and informed me she had received prior approval from her manager before we signed the contract and submitted our payment of $399.00, and that my fee for your company to list and sell my timeshare would only be $399.00, not $1,999.00 as you have told me.

I originally received a call from Stacy Tiano the end of July. She asked me if I would be willing to sell my Timeshare. She told me she already had a buyer that wanted to purchase it, and that it would be a quick turn-around.

Once I submitted the $399.00, she never once called or emailed me letting me know she had received the money and signed contract. I've felt from the start your company scammed me out of money, and had no intentions of selling my property.

After my wife and I signed the contract and submitted the payment of $399.00 on August 8, I tried numerous times to contact Stacy Tiano, and was always given excuses that she was not in her office. I always left messages with your secretaries when I could get through on your toll free line, and Stacy Tiano never once returned my phone calls.

After trying to contact Stacy Tiano for a month, I was finally referred to David Harris on September 7. David Harris informed me he had a Doctor in Venezuela who wanted to purchase my timeshare for the listing price of $28,000.

I talked it over with my wife, and we both agreed to the $28,000.00 offer according to David Harris. David Harris told me I was #125 on the closing list. He told me your company closes approximately 2-3 timeshares each day. He told me I should be receiving a check for $28,000.00 from the Doctor in Venezuela around the middle to end of November.

I called and spoke to David Harris again on October 1 for an update. He told me I was then #85 on your companies list for closing on my timeshare property.

I called David Harris again on November 13 to find out exactly when my timeshare should be closing. He told me, I'm sorry, the Doctor in Venezuela changed his mind and backed out of buying our timeshare.

As you can imagine, I was extremely upset I had waited 3 months from the time my wife & I signed the contract #7125 and submitted the payment of $399.00 just to hear that the deal fell through.

I asked David Harris why he hadn't informed me earlier, and he replied it had just happened right before I called him. I have a really hard time believing this, just by coincidence it happened the exact same day I called for an update.

I tried again numerous times during the remainder of November & December to get in touch with either Stacy Tiano or David Harris for an update. I was informed Stacy Tiano no longer works for Prestige Timeshare Marketing.

Finally after getting through your toll free number 1-800-821-0833 I was told David Harris no longer works at Prestige Timeshare Marketing, and was referred to you. I will admit you have been much easier to contact than either Stacy Tiano or David Harris ever has been previously. I appreciate you taking the time to return my calls when I have left messages.

I'm still upset I was blatantly lied to by Stacy Tiano and told your marketing fee for advertising and selling my timeshare was approved by upper management in your company, and I would only have to pay $399.00, not $1,999.00 as you have told me I need to pay.

As noted before, your company from the start has been very unprofessional, and has never kept me informed about the proceedings on selling my timeshare as noted in my contract.

I've been very patient from the start dealing with your company. Stacy Tiano & David Harris customer service etiquette has been extremely unprofessional.

I was also told by Stacy Tiano that she would rent out my remaining timeshare week in addition to selling my timeshare for $28,000. To this date, I have never received any notification that this was being taken care of.

I have lost $1,000.00 from the original offer due to the fact that your company was extremely slow in closing the deal.

I too would have backed out of a deal if it had taken so long to close a contract. I don't blame the Doctor in Venezuela, but I do blame your company for this unfortunate loss of money to my wife & I were expecting.

If your company is serious and wants to keep a good reputation with it's customers, I would suggest you honor the original $399.00 listing & selling offer from Stacy Tiano and use this as a lesson learned for your companies past behavior.

You want me to pay you $1,600.00 additional dollars from what I was told from the start, plus I'm getting $1,000 dollars less than the original offer due to your company being so slow at closing the deal. Additionally, I'm not getting any money for renting out my unused weeks as Stacy Tiano had originally informed me I would get.

I still intend to submit a grievance to the Better Business Bureau for your companies poor business practices and bad customer service etiquette. I'm still very angered that I was made promises that you or your company don't intend to keep.

Please email me your companies FEDEX Account number and directions on what I need to do so I can sell my timeshare and put this headache behind me. I have some good friends who I was considering recommending to your company to who also have a timeshare at Westgate Resort's in Orlando, FL. After all the headaches your company has given me, I would never consider recommending your company to anyone.

Us army veteran

Back in August we were contacted by a Justice from Prestige Timeshare Marketing in regards to selling our timeshare. We were told by them that they were running a really good deal for Military families that want to sell or rent their timeshare. They said that with the military discount it would only cost us $499 total for the advertising and sale of our timeshare.

We did not hear back from anyone for months after we paid. We contacted them and were told they were going to be having a big showing that next week and hopefully they would get it sold. A few weeks later we got a call saying that someone made an offer on our property but then we did not hear anything back from them. My husband contacted them and was told that the people were not able to get financing.

We went months again without anyone contacting us and then we called again and were told they had another show and they sold our timeshare to a doctor. We did not hear anything back about the closing of the timeshare so we called to see what was going on and were told that it woudl be closing by the end of the month. When we got to the closing date we were looking forward to selling the timeshare and called to make sure everything went okay and were told that the doctor was running late. Later that day we called again and were then told that the Doctor did not show up. The next day we got a call by David saying that the Doctor had a heart attack and died.

My husband and I were getting pretty upset because we really need to sell our timeshare and it had been way longer then we were told. We decided we were tired of being disappointed and requested our $499 be refunded but were told since it was past the 90 days they could not refund our money. They went on to tell us that they were in the hole because they have spent way more on advertising our property then what we had paid.

Today we were told by Samantha that they could not sell my property because we owe $1500 for advertising. She stated that everybody is charged $1995 for advertising. But we paid for our advertising fees back in 2006 and were told the original price at that time was $1595 but since my husband was in the military that they would give us a discount and with that discount we were told there would be a one time fee of $499 and no other fees.

I feel considering it has been about a year and a half they have had more then enough time to sell my timeshare. I think we should be refunded our $499 for all the broken promises thay have made considering we were told that they would not only try to sell but also if it did not sell in the 90 days they would try to rent it for us they never rented it.

I feel this is a really bad way to thank a veteran and his family by taking their hard earned money. My husband had not been home from Iraq that long when we originally paid this company and they claimed they would sell our timeshare for the discounted military fee of $499 and they thanked him for fighting our country by taking his hard earned money and ripping us off. Some thanks they give to someone that could of been killed while driving a tank into areas that were being bombed to help save other wounded American soilders.

Since I really do not see this company selling my timeshare I feel they need to give us our money back.

Prestige Timeshare Marketing is asking me to send $1548 to be able to begin closing on an offer they got for my timeshare. We were wondering if it was the real thing, so we were looking them up on the Better Business Bureau (they got a C rating, by the way) and when we googled the name, this site came up. I could not believe it when I read another ladies story, and her description could have been mine, down to the couple from South America that had supposedly bought her timeshare and backed out, and the number in line she was waiting for closing! I have only invested $451 in this company, but I was sending a check tomorrow. I am so thankful I saw this. I have notes where I talked on the phone with David Harris, but recently I have been talking with Samantha. They are very convincing.

Prestige Timeshare Marketing & The Famous Doctor From Venezuela. Timeshare Contract for months and months...

As the other lady from Ohio I was contacted by Prestige Timeshare Marketing in August. For $899 they could market and sell my Fairfield timeshare.

Since I wanted to get out quickly out of maintenance fees, I readily agreed... Prestige 'appraised' our property for $22K. Anthony Romano promised I would get offers in a few days, so far nothing in writing, only now David Harris 'the manager' saying that a Doctor from Venezuela and his wife were about to pay full price and 14% interest on a loan, wow I said with the oil price thses people should be swimming in dollars now!!!

I spoke with 'David' in mid September and the timeshare was 'in contract' with a doctor and his wife. The only problem is that the Closing department had another 125 contracts ahead of me, Wow! They must be making a lot of money I said to myself.

In mid October I noticed that their website was down, I comforted myself saying, ummhh they must be having technical difficulties. Now It is been several weeks, I called David last week, 'His sister died and he was in a funeral' how inconvenient, ahh?

Today I googled them again and I find that another lady from Ohio has been ripped off with the same story. What a conincidence!!!

As the lady from Ohio, yesterday I received an interesting call from another Timeshare Marketing company. When I said that we were listed with Prestige... The man on the phone said: I have bad news for you, they are out business, by now they must be wearing pinstripes. He was very insisting (they always are) he was even willing to waive 50% of his listing fee, isnt it interesting?

Interestingly enough, I just called Prestige, the 'receptionist' responded, I told them that they were in good standing and that 'DAvid' would call me, He hasnot

I hope more people are aware of this situation and let us know what to do I've been ripped off...

If you've heard a similar story from this ripoff company, please contact us.

A Doctor from Venezuela and his wife are about to pay full price of $20,000 for my timeshare, this is what I was told by David, a customer service representative at Prestige Timeshare Marketing, on 11/06/07. And then on November 15th, I was told by the same person that they backed out of the contract. I couldn't believe it at first place of how someone would off offer a full price at this market that we are.

Also, coincidently, I was the 125th contract in line, so I had to wait about 10 days for my timeshare to close.
Also, today I checked their website, and their website it's gone, however, David told me that it's under contstruction because of the last hurricane in FL it's being ruined. Weird!
Be careful!!!
They are a scam!

Prestige Timeshare Marketing Advertises Timeshares Until They Are Sold Prestige Timeshare marketing is a fully licensed and bonded For-Sale-By-Owner timeshare marketing and advertising company. We are not a real estate broker and we never claim to be such. The advertising program involves mass-marketing to other sellers/renters to maximize exposure to potential buyers or renters. Prestige Timeshare marketing advertises our customers' properties until they sell and we charge no renewal fees or additional costs at the time of sale, nor do we accept a commission for helping the customer sell their property. Within twenty four hours of signing up with our company, the customers' property is posted to our inventory, at which point, our services are rendered. When a prospective buyer makes an offer on a particular property, we forward that offer to the seller, at which point, the seller may accept or reject the offer and proceed accordingly.
It is not uncommon for the sale of a property to be in the works, and for one reason or another, not follow through to closing.in this case there was a doctor, from Venezuela, and he was interested in buying not just this property in our inventory, but several properties. He never showed up for the closing. We investigated the situation, and the doctor had been arrested. Needless to say, he was no longer interested in following through with the purchase of these properties. I know that these customers are disappointed, as are we. Unfortunately, these things happen. The bottom line is that no property sells overnight.in fact it is extremely difficult to sell timeshares, which is exactly why the company exists; to help individuals advertise their property using professional, mass-marketing techniques, in order to provide the customer with the exposure and visibility their property needs, to get it sold.
We stand by our service and we are so sure that the service we provide is the best, that if a customer is able to sell their property, with-in 25% of their asking price, either on their own, or through another service, we will refund their marketing fee, in full. We will keep marketing all of the properties in our inventory, and we will do so because we know that the only way to get anything sold, is to advertise.

*UPDATE - Prestige Timeshare Marketing has contacted me on 11/16/07 and has promised me that they will resolve this issue. I give them until the 1st of December or until the 8th so then it will be exactly 4 months from the day I signed the contract. And, I hope if it doesn't sell by the 8th, they will be able to refund me the fee that I was charged back in August.
As per Samantha, hopefully the web site will be up and running soon, and things will get back on track.
I hope everything she said is correct and true.

Prestige Timeshare Marketing - BIG RIPOFF It's been over 4 months now, since I was charged $499 and still no word on my timeshare. I have been talking to a lady at Prestige promising me that she has been trying hard to show the property and to potential buyers. NOTHING YET!

I would like to get my refund back, if not I will call the FBI no later than this Friday. I see that a lot of other people have been burned from the same company with the same excuses. And today, I was told by their receptionist that their web site is still under construction! Hmm interesting!

I wonder what are they re-constructing on their 'new' web site. ANd I was told that they have 100 people working in their office, then again I thought 100 people??? And without a website? I would like to be contacted by PRESTIGE TIMESHARE ASAP. This is big rip off, they play with people's money.

I have seen a lot of reports on usacomplaints.com, and it's the same excuses that I have heard for my story from David, a doctor from Venezuela was going to purchase my ts, however they backed out the last minute, and this was a month ago.

If you have the same problem, please contact me.

Question Response
To whom it may apply:

First off to the original poster I would like to seek some extra information, When the company responded concerning the closing of the property they said it would take 10 days (standard closing for a timeshare is much longer)? Also in the contract does it state who would be handling the actual closing process as their could be a possible conflict of interest breach when handling advertising and attempting to perform the closing.
