My Frigidaire fridge went out 7/16. I called the Frigidaire 800 # and got the phone number for the only 2 companies that service frigidaire under warranty. The warranty covers anything in the sealed coolant system and I was told that I would not have to pay the diagnosis fee if anything was wrong with the sealed coolant system.
A technician from E.R. Appliance came out and told me that the start relay went out and it would cost $150.00 to replace it including the $75 diagnosis visit charge. They came out and replaced the part and the fridge still did not work.
I called the second company and they came out and took a look. The compressor was bad which is part of the sealed coolant system. I called E.R. Appliance and asked for a refund of the diagnosis fee because the compressor had been bad all along. They refused to refund my money. I have reported them to the BBB and to the Wash. State Attorney General. E.R. Appliances have not responded to the letters. I also emailed Frigidaire and got no response from them.
As far as I can tell, they are either incompetent or they ripped me off intentionally. Either way, this is not a good company to deal with. Stay away from them and stay away from Frigidaire appliances! If this is the caliber of companies that Frigidaire recommends, then they need a wake-up call.
