As a homeowner, not a commercial custumer, I took two yard gas-powered air blowers, models Husqvarna model 125BT Power Blowers, for a repair estimate
Both items were not purchased at the business. I received a call 2 weeks later indicating that the items were ready to pick up. When I stopped by to retrieve the items, I was told that they were out of warranty and were not worth fixing. I was told to pick up the blowers - they were disassembed and handed back to me in plastic bags. They citied the OSHA regulation: "Due to the OSHA Act 1971: Tools not repaired with be returned unassembled." This statement is printed on their repair invoices.
I searched on the OSHA web site to any reference to this regulation and could not locate it. It seems strange - If I took my car to a repair shop and they could not repair it, they would return my car in pieces?
After I got the two bags of parts back, I was able to put one back together and get back in working condition - needed carburator cleaner and air filter.
The other one was disassembled and upon assembly I am missing a air hose part, clamp, spark plug and several screws and nuts. This one needs an air filter housing and a new recoil starter (cord broken).
