I am a 83 year widow on social security barely getting by.
I purchased a window air conditioner for one of the rooms I have in my modest. I purchased it 5 July. When I told my son what I did, he said it would not work properly for the room I wanted to put it in.
I immediately returned it on 6 July. I was told I would recieve a check from corporate headquaters. I saw a pile of papers on counter telling me when I would recieve my refund, 6 days. I did not asked the person I purchased it from when I would recieve my refund based on what I read on the refund policy sheet.
My check cleared on the 10 July. Three weeks went by. I called 3 times, even went to the store that I purchased it. They said they would get it to me.
It is now 10 August and I still have not recieved my refund and do not know when!
My son has told me they assured him it would be recieved tomorrow.
Based on my experince with appliance direct I would never return to any of their stores again!!! 1
