About 5 years ago, Jeff Haack (as he calls himself) of Harlequin Treats, convinced me to pay a deposit of $8500 for a Original Toulouse Lautrec Poster, titled May Belfort. He told me that he had a seller; However after 6 months of delays, he became obvious that he had no intention of completing the transaction, or refunding deposit.
As a result, I immediately hired a civil attorney from Chicago's collection's law firm Abrams and Abrams to recoup lost monies. To this day, after several failures to appear, and numberous failed promises, Harlequin treat has only refuned a small percentage owed. I am still pursuing this matter.
In short, what ever you do, do not send monies or consign with Harlequin Treats. They (who ever they are) are frauds. Hopefully, someday they will be brought to justice.
