I bought furniture from this company (livingroom/diningroom set) I was paying a total of $245.00 biweekly for 14 months my lease term was 18 months. I fell into a financial situation when I was put on a bedrest from my doctor due to a risky pregnancy.in my contract it stated that if I fell into a crisis / hardship I would have to show proof and my payments would be cut 50% the company refused to do this.
When I couldn't make my timely payments they came to my house and took my furniture when I wasnt home. My niece who was a minor, was there. They lied to her saying that I told them to take my furniture. They left me with nothing after I made payments totaling 490.00 per month for over a year. They didnt even leave me a chair to sit on. After being very deceitful I received a telephone call from them saying I can have my furniture back if they redone the contract which would tack on 38.00 per month for 22 months I was furious told them that they ripped me off and I would never refer anyone there again
I tried to get a lawyer but financially I just could'nt afford it. Ther isnt much I can do about it now but telling my story and warning people about their deceitfullnes is the best I can do to prevent people from getting ripped off!
