I purchased a Philips deep-fat fryer model HD6132 about a year ago, and have only used it on about six occasions. On the last occasion we noticed a pool of oil on the work-top.
We filled the stainless steel pot with hot water, and this revealed THREE pinpoint perforations in the metal.
I wrote to philips by email to their customer care website.
They told me to see the local Philip agent here in Cyprus.
Instead of being sympathetic, and grateful for our pointing out this very dangerous defect, they offered us a new fryer with a special discount!
To add insult to injury, the 'special' price was the same as anyone could buy the machine in the stores!
All we wanted was a replacement inner-pot for the defective one - not a big deal for an International outfit like Philips.
I have sent many Emails directly to them, but they have been ignored.
