Trendmaker files "SLAPP suit" against legal protester. Whether this issue is settled in my favor or Trendmaker's, the public will not have access to it, unless it is settled in court which is unlikely How then, can you check on a builder's reputation

While other builders may replace poorly installed tile that erupts throughout a home, Trendmaker seems to prefer to see just how far the faulty 2003 TRCC legislation will take them, in the case of my erupting tile work.

After I exhausted all avenues of writing letters to the TRCC, BBB, Governor Perry, Senators, House members, and even visited Representative Charlie Howard, in person, I finally resorted to using my first amendment rights to carefully protest Trendmaker's refusal to replace my corrupted tile work. I am protesting at their model homes in Telfair.

I first paid a visit to my local police dept. To make sure that I was acting well within the perimeters of the law. I was given guidelines on not blocking traffic, yelling, trespassing etc., which I very carefully noted, and applied.

Despite following every letter of the law, including taking pictures, having witnesses, etc., Trendmaker is suing me for upwards of $200,000.00 for invented crimes that they have knowingly pulled out of their own — heads.

This is surely what a homebuilder, with no reguard for their homeowners and no respect for the law, looks like. Trendmaker's activity is a form of extortion by which they hope to silence my right to protest by involving me in an ongoing lawsuit that will either frighten me or bankrupt me into silence, before they replace their shoddy tile work.

Although I have read about this sort of corporate criminal activity, such as Upton Sinclair's The Jungle, I could not imagine that it would exist in light of our first amendment rights and "an informed" person's right to protest poor building practices.

Know your builder!!!

Imagine how such builders are contributing to lower income home forclosures? As subprime rates are attacking the poor from one end, their homes are needing rebuilding after two or three years, from the other end. Whether we own a home from such a builder or not, we all pay for this type of economic strangle-hold that such builders subject to their upper-end clients as well as their lower-end clients.
