Banner in front of HomeSource reads "Free Estimates"...
George Staley of HomeSource told me that a refundable deposit of $500.00 was required to work up an estimate. I told him that I had already paid the fee in 1996 for which I have the receipt and found out then that it was not refundable as they promised.
George excuses himself to confer with others and comes back to tell me that the estimate fee is now $1,000.00.
Back in 1996 I tried to work with Lee Campau, HomeSource agent.
It became clear that he did not understand home construction. He argued that he could not make the roof all 6-12 pitch. Also they connected me with a lender that did not show at the closing on the property. I lost $500.00 then as well as $50.00 credit check fee.
My experience has cost me $1,050.00 already and I have nothing. Now they want another $1,000.00 to get a free estimate. Where is their moral compass? Am I to trust them with the largest investment of my life?
