Car search nets two arrests
Falls police, on the lookout for a Lewiston man in his mother's '94 Honda Accord, arrested the man and a passenger in the car after finding them in the 1900 block of Walnut Avenue about 4 A.M. Sunday.
Michael V. DaVolio, 49,999 Ridge Road, Lewiston, was charged with first-degree loitering and Ronnie H. Chandler, 21,527 24th St., was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
When police found him, they said DaVolio was walking around the area of 19th Street and Walnut Avenue, a known drug area. Chandler was found in the Honda a short distance away. Police found a substance that field-tested positive for cocaine on Chandler.
Police were looking for DaVolio and the car after his mother called police and told them he was on a 36-hour drug binge and had taken her.
