Homefix Coeporation
Dishonest totally misrepresented themselves and financial agreement

The sales representative from Homefix, Kevin, misrepresented in many ways. He assured us that Homefix was a reputable company and swore by its family owned reputation. He claimed to be the nephew of the owner (very similar to Vin Diesel in Boiler Room), but I'm seriously questioning this claim now especially since he no longer works for the company and he clearly did not know what he was doing.

When my wife and I expressed concerns over the price estimation for our siding, a deal was offered to us by Kevin and Adam (his title has since changed and he no longer works in NJ) where payments would be deferred for 6 months and then Homefix would make the first 6 months of payments following the deferment.in total, we would not have to make a payment for 1 year following the siding installation. We were assured that no additional interest would accrue on top of the initial loan during the first year while we were not making any payments.

After 6 months, we began receiving bills from the lending bank. It was our understanding that Homefix would be making these payments, but they were not. I called the bank and they informed me that Homefix was not making any payments and that I would be charged additional fees if I did not make the payments on time. I began making the payments and attempted to follow up with Homefix in the mean time. I left 3 phones calls over a two week span before one was finally returned by Mike.

After following up with Adam, Mike said that Homefix will send us a check for the 6 months and that it was not sent due to an accounting error. He said he would get back to me when everything was corrected. After not hearing back, I followed up on a couple of more occasions. To Mike's surprise, the check was not sent yet and he promised to follow up again. Finally, after a month, a check was received. The check should've been in the amount of $980.52 instead of the $623.70 that was actually received. I decided to cut my losses at that point and did not bother following up. Also, I truly believe that we never would've received any money had we not continuously followed up.

After paying the full amount to the bank, we were informed that we still owed an additional $537.18 for interest that accrued during the 6 month deferment period. This directly contradicted the deal that was made with Kevin and Adam.

We were misled and the end result has cost us roughly $900.
This is very disappointing since we were satisfied with our siding, but the financial dealings with company are shady at best and I would never recommend them to anyone.
