NO CUSTOMER SERVICE after Purchase BEWARE ripoff

I am sorry to have to write this report since we were initially really pleased with our furniture. I had hoped my problem over the last couple of weeks would resolve itself but so far it has not and after reading this site I realize that I am not alone.

I ordered 2 extra throw pillows with my sectional from Jennifer Convertibles to match a $300 chair I was purchasing so that it would all coordinate. I was told it was no problem. I was somewhat alarmed at the price $90 (including tax) for 2 throw pillows but I really wanted to have everything coordinated. I received the pillows but unfortunately they did not match.

I contacted Jennifer Convertible immediately and found out the sales person I had been dealing with was no longer with the company and had to deal with Aggie. I told her the pillows that had arrived had dark orange and apricot tones vs. My chair which was dark red and a salmon color. She said she would look into it and get back with me. Long story short we played a cat and mouse game for over a week. The issue that surfaced was this: the chair was from one company and the pillows were ordered from another company... Hence they DO NOT match.

After a week, Aggie informed me that I had to bring the pillows in and prove that they did not match because she had looked at the swatches and they did. So I brought them in that night. She just kept looking at them and telling me that she could not see what I was talking about.

Several people have looked at the pillows and confirmed they do not match. She said she would have to wait and look at them in the sunlight the next day. While I was at the store I found the pillow I wanted. That matched my pillows 100%. Guess what? Made by the same manufacturer as my chair. Hence why they matched. I asked her to please order me 2 of those pillows. I received no follow up the next day and then a call the following day. She informed me that she had spoken with her manager and that there was nothing that could be done but she was going to do me a favor and give me the floor pillows that matched and they were going to keep my brand new $90 pillows. Sound like a good deal? Lol.

I asked if they were in good condition. She said yes. Despite my concerns about having pillows that have been sitting there for who knows how long I raced in to get the pillows b4 that was not an option either. She made sure she called me right b4 she left for the day so that the afternoon girl would be there when I got there. When I arrived this poor girl was all happy to give me the pillows.

When I pulled them out I was shocked. One was piped and one was not. The piped pillow had a 3 inch hole and stuffing coming out!"Good condition???" Are you kidding me? And the pillows were not even sewn the same and they were 2 different sizes! Not to mention they were all supposed to match the original pillow that came with the chair which was a different size all together.

So the new girl tried to make some calls but that got no where so I spoke with the manager myself today and she said she is sending an e-mail to corporate to see if the pillows can be ordered from the company where they match or if I can have a refund. I should hear something tomorrow and will update this if it is resolved.

I had no idea the pain and torture I would be put through for two throw pillows. Just beware. We got a good price on out furniture but I guess the old phrase "you get what you pay for" applies here.

Two other quick issues:
1) Citifinancial funds their same as cash plans and is a horrible company to deal with. Read the posts on them as well.
2) They did not deliver my furniture until 10:30 pm when our delivery window was between 4-8pm. When I called at 8, Aggie (same sales person) told me that they were running late and then told me that they tried to deliver the furniture but no one was home. Someone had been there every minute of the entire day and the delivery guys told me that was the first time they had been there. She told me that they were not going to deliver the furniture that night and she was not sure when she could get it back out to me and that they had no way to call anyone to get the status. She obviously she lied to me.

I have read other posts regarding this company and was not surprised at their problems based on my own experience.

Truly beware before purchasing from this store.
