Formerly Explorer Appliances Ripoff Failure to Provide Appliance Parts and Warranty Service

Don't be fooled by the shiny pictures. Appliances are machines that are only as good as the availability of parts, warranty service, and technical expertise. Appliance Hypermarket is unable to provide any of the above. The ranges are made in Italy, and neither the manufacturers nor Appliance Hypermarket make service calls.

Appliance Hypermarket doesn't even have technical manuals showing exploded parts diagrams from which to order parts for the products that they sell. After threatening lawsuits for several months, they finally did send parts. Unfortunately, the parts that they sent were for a different make and model of range and were totally useless.

Appliance Hypermarket told me that they would reimburse all costs for warranty repairs provided by local appliance repair shops. To date, I'm still waiting.

Appliance Hypermarket does not understand the US building codes as applied to the products that they sell. I received a range that was supposed to have been wired for a 120 Volt 20 AMP circuit.instead I received a range wired for 240 Volts with a cord that was dangerously undersized for a standard 240 Volt Range Circuit. My electrician refused to hook up the range and ran a separate 240 Volt 20 Amp circuit so as not to exceed the capacity of the range cord. My plumber had to remove the rubber hose that came with the range, and install a code required metal flex hose for the gas connection.

Consumers who have bought these products and are unknowledgeable in building code requirements have unwittingly installed ticking time-bombs in their homes.

Your neighborhood appliance dealer is a much safer place to shop, and he will provide you with parts, warranty service, technical expertise, and peace of mind. Your family's life may depend on how your range is hooked up.

The best part is that once Appliance Hypermarket gets your money, they could care less about your silly warranty problems.in short, your screwed.
