Beware!!! The service technicians that come to the house work on commission!!! My kitchen sink was plugged up and my attempts to clear it were unsuccessful. The Mr. Rooter service person - Dan - came out to the house. For $266.00 he would clear my drain and give me a 6-month guarantee. He brought in his auger and took apart the pipes under the sink.
After just a couple minutes (he went down 3 feet), he proclaimed "I have good news and bad news for you". The bad news is your pipe under the floor has burst and it needs to be replaced all the way to the main sewer line. The good news is your home insurance will probably cover it. However, a supervisor (Nick or Mario) would have to come out in the morning and 'quote the job'. They didn't show up on a timely basis so I went to work.
Got a referral from a friend and called another company. They came out this morning, put the pipes under my sink back together and ran the water in both sinks. The drains are working just fine. No broken pipes - for a cost of $89.00. Beware of Mr. Rooter!!!
