I don't know where to start with the smug and arrogant attitude that the store manager at Leslies Pools at 1442 E Chandler Blvd, Doug Thornbird displays each time I go into the store it seems that he gets pleasure out of telling you bad news. To get to the point the last time I went into the store to ask about a repair he told me that the service fee is $85 plus a trip charge of $22 he is kidding right? $107 dollars just to come out to the house he then told me that if the service technician is there for more than one hour I would be charge another $85 is he on medication? I was shocked, I explained to him that a lot of companies do not charge by the hour for service (AC and heating companies, electricians, plumbers, car mechanics do but they are not fixing a pool!) I tell him that this seems ridiculous, he shrugs his shoulders and tells me that this is industry standard. I called Leslies corporate office to verify this service charge and she explains to me that she was not aware that they charge by the hour she put me on hold and came back telling me that this was correct. I have had it with Leslies I wrote a letter to the corporate office (yea I know good luck) and the only other recourse I have is to never purchase another product at Leslies. I am using a family owned pool company called Innovative Pool Concepts they charge me a $25 service charge and fixed the problem and he was at my house over an hour the parts and labor and service fee was $114.27 if I had used Leslies it would have been $192 just for the service charge alone. Not only is Leslies service department ripping consumers off but their chemicals and products are overpriced. This is my issue the store is a mile from my house and it was convenient but I will not (and I am sticking to this) I will not use Leslies Pools again I will support small business owners and I hope everyone will do the same.
