Dear Jerry, and to whom it may concern,

We feel like Blue Haven deserted us. It took 5 months for the pool to get plastered. Considering the mild weather with only a few days of rain, it is a joke. And a breach of contract. Blue Haven made excuses of a supposed cement shortage, but after the cement was finished, Blue Haven was nowhere to be found! This is ridiculous! We had a 59 working day completion contract signed by us and Blue Haven.

The office staff are unorganized, rude, have little experience or knowledge of pool construction, and do not return phone calls. I had to call almost every day of the last six months and I kept a log of my phoning activities. Genevieve was our "construction manager". She never returned any of my phone calls and was rude and inexperienced.

The pool heater didn't work and I called Gen. She said she would fax a work order to the heater company. Two days later, I called Hayward heater company. Bob from Hayward heaters warranty/service department said he did not receive any notice that my heater wasn't working from Blue Haven. He promptly took my information and sent someone to fix the problem.

The "start up" crew Blue Haven sent on November 8, were two young and inexperienced men, the instructions given were poor, and in a incomplete mumbling monologue. There was a jet in the jacuzzi (closest to the garage wall) that was spurting about a foot into the air. The "start up" crew said they fixed it before they left. But they did not fix it. The jet is sucking in water when in spa mode and emptying out the jacuzzi.

Al, our contracting supervisor came today and checked the jet. He said it was plumbed wrong by plumbing company subcontracted by Blue Haven. Now SIX months after construction began, plumbers will have to cut thru our new decking and correct the plumbing to the spa. The plumbing sat exposed for months while nothing was being done by Blue Haven to finish our pool. There was plenty of time for someone to check the plumbing to see that it was correctly plumbed. Now more damage could occur when they cut into the decking to reroute the plumbing. Today Al said, "The office staff doesn't have any experience, that's why this happened."

We honored our side of the contract but Blue Haven did not. We are very dissatisfied with Blue Haven's service. Your company didn't even send someone out until now to check this pool! We will tell anyone we know that Blue Haven does not do "good" business, and that the sales "pitch" by Bob, was just that! A Pitch!

We hope you can quickly resolve these problems. The combination of poorly chosen/supervised staff and choice of subcontractors has made very unhappy customers. At this time, I'm guessing we are not the only unhappy ones.

This has been a terrible experience and very stressful for our family. Our last resort has come which is to seek legal advice and to file a grievance with Consumer Affairs contractors licensing board. We will be very detailed in our complaints.
