Our tablet was broken and when we called they said "WE GUARANTEE THAT WE WILL FIX YOUR TABLET TO WORKING CONDITION IN 1 HOUR FOR $99.00." We told them EXACTLY what the problem was - the tablet back light turns on, but there is no video input to the screen and the tablet is recognized by our computer when plugged in.
When the tech came 2 HOURS LATE, he said that what they described to him was not the problem that we described to the company (he was an independent representative). He called Asus (company of our tablet) and sat on the phone with them doing the exact stuff that we told the tech we had already done. He explained to us that he needs to do it because we are not tech savvy and don't know what we are doing... After 20 minutes on the phone, the tech hung up and said he cannot fix the tablet that it has to be sent in to Asus and we have to pay for that as well as parts and labor.
We called Geeks on Repair immediately and they answered the phone with the same "Guarantee" pitch and then when we explained the situation they said that we still owe them $99 for the 20 minutes that the tech was on the phone with Asus and that if we don't pay then they will send us to collections.
They went very quickly from good customer service to malicious threats!
They were a terrible company to work with and were disrespectful LIARS who should be shut down for misrepresentation!!!
