Talk about a bad experience! I recently was (and still am, apparently) in the market for furniture. I visited a local furniture store and found something I really liked but decided to check Raymour and Flanigans for a better price. They "beat" the deal by $79.00. Well, it definately wasn't worth the "big savings." I ordered the furniture and put a $50.00 payment down on it on February 1 with the understanding that it would be ordered immediately. When I went in on February 29 to pay the balance of $l708.24 I was told that my furniture had not been ordered yet. I paid the money in good faith when they said they would reorder it and gave me a "loaner sofa" to use in the meantime. That wasn't such a great experience either but I won't get into that. I still have the loaner sofa but don't feel extremely comfortable letting my 3 year old nephew sit on it or play on it because it is not mine. Today they delivered my waterbed. Guess what? It's not the one I picked out. I was told that I would be able to fill the baffles in the bathtub and carry them in to the bed. The ones they delivered have to be filled with a hose. Not that big of a deal really except that that's not what I thought I was getting. They also gave me a regular bed frame when my receipt says I should have gotten a frame with 7 legs and casters. The one I have in my home right now has 4 legs with casters. OH! And the furniture? I called a few days ago and the receptionist told me it would be here by the end of the month. Today they tell me it will be mid to late April. When I said I was fed up and just wanted my money back I was told "it's too late in the game to get any money back." HELP!!!
