Contractor not paid after eight months for completed job

My experience with this company as a contractor was very bad. If you are doing business with this company, make sure you get the money first and do not under any circumstances let them take advantage of you. I finished a 2 day job and I also bought parts for them without asking for a deposit. After 8 months of calling them continuously and stopping by to claim the money, they do not answer, always saying they sent the check and I should be receiving the payment. The people who answer the phone are Amanda and Jennifer.
The business is registered in Miami and the registered agent is in Jacksonville.
