FOX Business / FOX 5 New York (October 14, 2026) reports that Ahold Delhaize USA said it was experiencing a cybersecurity issue within its network and took "precautionary measures, including taking some systems offline to help protect them", and quotes the group as saying "we are in the process of starting a controlled relaunch of certain systems". WFSB quotes the Stop & Shop president, Roger Wheeler: "There is also no evidence that any customer data has been impacted" and "our stores, pharmacies, and fuel stations are open to serve you", and reports a '10% off their next in-store purchase' offer, up to $10 off, running through Thursday, October 22, applied at the store's Savings Station. WJAR / NBC 10 (October 12, updated October 13) reports that Stop & Shop said its stores, pharmacies and fuel stations remain open and that customers can still order groceries for delivery through Instacart, DoorDash and Uber Eats, and that some customers could not reach digital coupons and gas rewards. No restoration date was given in the reports we read. The refund statement quoted for unfulfilled online orders in the FOX 5 and NBC Boston reports is attributed there to Food Lion's website and to Giant Food; we identified no Stop & Shop refund statement in the sources checked on 2026-10-18. These are news accounts of company statements; stopandshop.com itself returned a 'Security Block in Place' page to our browser on 2026-10-18, so we could not read the company's own notice, Contact Us, returns, recall or privacy pages. If you had an online or pickup order affected by the outage, keep the order confirmation and any card statement, and ask the store or the company's customer service to confirm what happened to the order.
- Contact. Use the Contact Us and Help pages linked from stopandshop.com once reachable, or the store. We give no company-confirmed customer-service number; BBB lists (800) 767-7772 for the headquarters file, which we did not confirm on a company page.
